Data/Logics/China
Data/Logics/China: 6 Conversations on Becoming Green is the second collaboration between RSS Press and the IT University of Copenhagen. This publication looks at data and the green transition, with a particular focus on China, interrogating the understandings of nature and data that inform current logics of the data management of and care for the natural world. The collection foregrounds conversation as a mode of communicating contemporary Chinese case studies, drawing on disciplinary perspectives from political science, design, sociology, science and technology studies, arts and humanities to explore data logics performed in and through quantification, datafication, institutionalization, governance mechanisms and financialization interventions. The conversations address the technologies through which ‘green transitions’ are being enacted.
